With the trend of sustainability (and the cost of living) reaching an all time high- the best way to participate is to find a better function for the items you already have. Before buying a new wardrobe to flatter your figure, consider making these minor alterations to invest in your wardrobe.

Waist! Altering the waist can not only help your pants from hitting your ankles, but you may be surprised by where your pants are supposed to lay. By visiting a tailor or learning to tailor yourself, you will learn how the pant is supposed to fit, rather than accepting where the generic size you bought online happened to land. Not only will this accentuate your body type, but it may expose other minor alterations that can help turn the sad pair of pants in the back of your closet into that pair your friends always beg you for the link to.

Length! Online stores and the majority of retail workers will not know specifically how their items will best flatter your body. Say you have shorter legs you dream looked a mile long, a mid length dress is only going to cut off your calf and stifle your dreams. Shorten that dress to mid thigh where the front is just slightly shorter than the back and watch your legs grow- without spending $350 on a new look.

Seat! Everyone deserves their jeans to be a good ass pair. If you are left with a saggy behind, consider taking in the seat of your pants. This alteration will take in that back seam and allow the pants to grab onto your assets. Everyone deserves a peachy day.
